A greenfield, end-to-end project management system for shipyard operations, built on Laravel + Vue.js + PostgreSQL.
Problem
Some tooling already existed, but it was scattered and fragmented — part of the process was still recorded manually, outside any single system. Project status, warehouse inventory, and inquiry/quotation records lived across disconnected tools and paper trails rather than one source of truth.
Architecture
Built from the ground up on Laravel, Vue.js, and PostgreSQL — a greenfield system rather than an extension of what existed before.
Execution
Two hard problems shaped the build: syncing the manually-recorded data that already existed into the new system without losing history, and driving actual field adoption among shipyard staff who were used to the old, scattered way of working.
Impact
Faster project record-keeping, with all projects and warehouse inventory tracked centrally. Inquiry and quotation processes are now clearly logged in-system, closing off a prior avenue for fraud and manipulation.
No screenshots or numbers are available — the role ended in 2021 and the system is no longer accessible.
