Realtime Chat (Agora + Firebase)
Live-class Q&A and community chat built during the pandemic livestreaming boom — Agora for WebRTC, Firebase for behavior analytics. Since discontinued.
Problem
Live classes and community cohorts needed real-time Q&A and chat during
the pandemic-driven surge in livestreaming demand, at a time when
browser support for getUserMedia was inconsistent across devices.
Architecture
Agora handled WebRTC voice and video; Firebase stored user-behavior analytics alongside the chat and community layer.
Execution
Built with a team. The main hard problem was cross-device and
cross-browser compatibility in 2022, when audio/video support through
getUserMedia wasn't reliably available everywhere yet.
Impact
Saw high usage at the time, during a period of very high demand for livestreaming-driven products. This feature has since been taken down from the Inspigo product and no longer exists — no screenshots or recordings are available.
